WooCommerce & Dokan Multi-Vendor Marketplace Developer

A marketplace is not a regular WooCommerce store with a few extra plugins. You have vendors registering, listing products, expecting payouts, and managing their own orders. You have buyers who need to trust a platform they just found. And you have an admin side that needs to run without constant manual work.

I’ve built over 15 live multi-vendor marketplaces using WooCommerce and Dokan. Clients in the UK, US, Australia, and South Africa. Food platforms, handmade goods, trade directories, rental services, B2B suppliers. Different niches, but the core requirement is always the same: it has to actually work, for vendors and buyers both.

What I handle

Vendor onboarding and registration

I set up vendor registration forms, approval workflows, and dashboard access. The goal is that a new vendor can sign up, get approved, and start listing without needing to contact you for help. That saves you time from day one.

Commission and payout structures

Dokan’s commission options are flexible but easy to misconfigure. I set up global rates, per-vendor overrides, product-level commissions, and payout schedules that match how your business actually works. Weekly payouts, monthly, on request, whatever structure you need.

Product listings and category setup

The category and listing structure has to match how your buyers search, not just what looks logical in the admin. I configure product types, attributes, search filters, and category hierarchies specific to your niche.

Payment gateway integration

Stripe Connect and PayPal for automatic split payments. Vendor payouts happen when orders are placed, no manual transfers, no chasing anyone. I set this up properly so it runs without your involvement.

Custom vendor dashboards

The default Dokan dashboard covers the basics. When vendors need more, or less, I customize what they see and what they can do. Custom reports, restricted features, added tools, whatever the platform requires.

Mobile-responsive build

Every marketplace I deliver works on mobile. Vendors manage stores on their phones. Buyers browse and checkout on their phones. That’s not optional.

Marketplaces I’ve launched

Some live examples across different industries. Each one had specific requirements that went beyond default Dokan. That’s the normal situation, not the exception.

How I work

I start with a quick discussion, by text, email, or a meeting on Google Meet or Zoom, whatever works for you. I ask about your vendors, your buyers, and your niche. Then I give you a clear scope and timeline, not vague estimates.

During the build I share progress regularly. I flag issues early, ask questions when something isn’t clear, and don’t disappear for weeks. After launch I’m available for fixes and new features as your platform grows.
